An HLB binding layer has proved successful for the measurement of EDCs (Chen et al, 2018). Clicking on the link will provide the full reference. It can be used with a PTFE membrane. Another publication reported XDA-1 as a binding agent and deployed DGT passive samplers in seawater without a filter membrane (Xie et al, 2018), which we do not recommend for field deployments, as particles can adhere to the exposed diffusive gels.
The recommended DGT devices equipped with PTFE membrane filters can be accessed by clicking on the appropriate link below.
For deployments in all types of waters you will need devices: LSND-AT
For deployment in soilsA you will need devices: LSLD-AT
Detailed instructions for the use of most DGT passive samplers are available.
AThese soil devices are designed for deployment in homogenised hydrated soil samples.
